The Union is aware that the rapidly developing situation regarding COVID-19 will impact seriously on events scheduled to take place over the next few months at least. Read the full COVID-19 statement.

The Union World Conference is the world’s largest gathering of researchers, global advocates, scientists, healthcare professionals, students and community members working to end the suffering caused by tuberculosis and lung disease, with a focus specifically on the challenges faced by low- and lower-middle income populations. Join us in Seville.

Union World Conference registration includes a delegate badge and conference bag, access to all scientific sessions, the technical exhibition area and the scientific poster exhibition, and an invitation to the Welcome Reception.

TBScience 2020

Delegates may register for both the Union World Conference and TBScience 2020, or delegates may choose to register for TBScience 2020 only.

TBScience 2020 is an official pre-conference event that will focus on basic and translational TB science to bring together scientists from microbiology, immunology, molecular biology, pharmacology, epidemiology and mathematical modelling to present and discuss recent findings on TB transmission, infection and disease. Additional focus is also given to the development of better vaccines, new drugs and diagnostics for TB.

Registration types and conditions

  • Conditions of Payment

    All registration must be accompanied by the necessary payments (fees for registration, post-graduate course and other additional items) in euros. Registration will be processed only upon receipt of payment.

    Payment is accepted by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) or via bank transfer. After Monday 5 October, you may no longer use bank transfers, or pay onsite with Euros and Dollars.

  • Union members

    Members receive a 100-euro discount on a full four-day registration for the Union World Conference. Join now to benefit from this and other membership advantages; once you are a member, you will be eligible for the conference registration discount.   • Reduced rate

    This reduced rate applies for non-Union members whom are students, nurses or residents from low and lower-middle income countries.

    • Students: All those in training are eligible for these rates. Delegates registered in this category will need to upload documented proof of enrolment in a University programme when completing their registration.
    • Young professionals: All those under 35 years old are eligible for these rates. Delegates registered in this category will need to show proof of age when picking up their badge on site.
    • Nurses: Delegates registered in this category will need to upload documented proof from their employer confirming they are engaged as a nurse when completing their registration.
    • Low and lower-middle income country residents: Participants residing in countries classified by the World Bank as low or lower-middle income economies may attend the Union World Conference at a reduced rate.
  • One day registration

    Delegates may register for one or two days of the conference, if delegates wish to attend a third day they will need to pay for a full conference registration.

  • Post-graduate courses

    All delegates must pay the fee for each post-graduate course, as well as being registered to attend the conference on 21 October.

    Registration for post-graduate courses will be available in June when the conference programme is published. Registered delegates may add this option at a later date.
